Billy Connolly has lived in Florida for many years but before this, he owned a castle in his home country, Scotland.

The spacious property is located in the Candacraig estate in the Scottish Highlands.

Billy and his wife purchased the castle in 1998 for £590,000.

The couple spent a lot of time at the home until it was sold in 2014.

In recent years, the castle has been available to rent out and it has plenty to keep up to 20 guests entertained.

The home has 12 bedrooms, all with a private bathroom.

Residents can relax in the games room, spend time in a whisky library or enjoy a stroll in the 18 acres of private gardens.

There is also an outdoor firepit and barbeque area to relax on warmer days.

The home is found next to the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, where visitors can surround themselves in nature.

There is a lot to do in the area, including the Snowroads Scenic Route which has 90 miles of breathtaking views.

Visit Scotland states: "The route is a popular adventure for those looking to get outdoors in the Highlands and encompasses some of the highest public roads in Britain.

"Starting at Blairgowrie and heading north to Grantown-on-Spey, stop off along the way and admire the stunning views that surround you.
