The affected items failed to meet the necessary safety regulations

British shoppers have been told that various Amazon products are dangerous and have therefore been rejected at borders or destroyed.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) warned that the items pose "serious" fire and electric shock risks.

The affected items failed to meet the necessary safety regulations, prompting immediate action from border authorities.

Three products identified as dangerous were the POWAROBOR Lithium-Ion Battery Charger, the Sedom SD-T10 Table Lamp, and the LED Moon Light, all sold via the E-commerce company.

None of the items complied with required safety standards, therefore posing a significant risk.

The measures taken at the border were enacted to ensure customer safety, preventing potentially hazardous products from reaching British homes.

However, if anyone has managed to get hold of the dangerous products, they should cease use immediately.

For further information, shoppers can consult the product safety notice for each product, accessible via the OPSS.

Milk sold in Northern Ireland has been recalled over contamination fears

In food recall news, milk has been pulled from shelves over possible contamination with deadly bacteria.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) warned that two-litre bottles of Ken's Raw Jersey Milk from Kenneth Hanna's Farm Shop may contain Shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC).

The recall affects those in Northern Ireland, with shoppers told to "return or destroy" the product.

Officials stated: "Symptoms caused by STEC organisms include severe diarrhoea (including bloody diarrhoea), abdominal pain, and sometimes haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure and can be fatal."

For information on the latest recalls, consult the OPSS (products) and FSA (food). Recalls must be taken seriously to ensure customer safety.
