"Less is always more," she instructed, explaining how her routine during the summer months often simply involves just two products: eyeshadow and mascara.
However, Carmindy warned women over 50 against deploying a classic makeup product that might take many by surprise: eyeliner.
"Skip eyeliner because it's too harsh during the summer and, instead, use an eyeliner brush to pick up a dark contour shade and lightly smudge this just at the outer corners of the lashes," she explained.

Previously, beauty enthusiasts have explained that more mature women might want to consider a lighter shade for lining their eyes to maintain a level of subtlety to their look.
This rule of thumb echoed the same of professional experts at L'Oreal, who said: "Traditional black eyeliner can sometimes look too stark on mature skin.
"Instead of ditching your eyeliner altogether, try swapping your go-to black for a dark brown shade - it’ll provide definition without overpowering your features," the gurus suggested.
