The makeup enthusiast raved about more lightweight options, from tinted moisturisers to CC creams

As your visage naturally ages, and fine lines and wrinkles start to appear, it might be time to turn towards different beauty products to rejuvenate your visage.

But it can be challenging to say goodbye to your makeup favourites and find the right products for your skin without shelling out hundreds of pounds doing so.

Thankfully, beauty guru Chenoa, who goes by @chenoabrookins on TikTok, has shared her skin care hacks with followers with the caption, warning that full coverage products have ageing properties.

In fact, the influencer encouraged women to ditch foundation altogether in favour of "light, glowy" skin tints to acquire "fresh, youthful coverage".

She particularly recommended CC creams and tinted moisturisers which have SPF included, protecting the wearer against sun damage all day.

Similarly, the beauty experts at No7 echoed Chenoa's advice, explaining that "tinted moisturiser doesn’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles in the way that heavier formulas can".

Additionally, such products incorporate extra benefits of SPF and skin care ingredients, warding off damage from UV rays.

It is recommended to apply tinted moisturisers with clean hands or a brush after cleansing and applying your toner and regular moisturiser to your face first.

The beauty lovers at the makeup brand suggested applying the product as if it was a foundation, blending the formula towards your neck and "gently pat" to ensure even coverage.

Chenoa’s followers were quick to run to the comments to affirm her recommendation, with one exclaiming: "Yes! Skin tints over foundation all day!"

Meanwhile, another pointed out the product’s superiority over the classic makeup staple, commenting: "Skin tint is the only kind of makeup that doesn’t sink into my forehead wrinkles! It’s so much better!"

A third fawned over her youthful appearance, saying: "You are glowing, so we must trust you."

However, a sceptic argued that a full-coverage look should not be banished from mature women altogether.

"I love seeing a full coverage on someone older," they weighed in, adding: "With the proper skin prep and tools that are actually being used properly, make up placement etc full coverage can look amazing on older skin."

Replying to the comment, Chenoa responded: "Love this take! It looks strange on me because I have so many freckles and age spots everywhere else.

"I like my natural skin to shine through!"
