Make-up is a great way to enhance your natural features and give your face a youthful glow.
As the first signs of ageing often appear around the eyes, a make-up artist has shared advice on how to counteract this.
Women who want bigger, brighter eyes should prep this area properly before applying any products, according to make-up artist at Cult Beauty, Amy Rostas.
She told GB News: "The delicate skin around the eyes is often one of the first areas to show signs of ageing, and make-up can crease more easily here.

"Prepping the eyelids before applying make-up helps create a smoother base, keeping everything in place and helping eye make-up look fresher for longer."
Applying colour correctors or light concealers to darker areas before you start your eye make-up can also help your eyes appear brighter and more awake.

Rostas added: "As skin becomes thinner over time, dark circles and puffiness can become more noticeable. Using light-reflecting, peach-toned correctors and blending gently with fingertips can soften shadows and brighten the under-eye area, creating a fresher, more rested look."
Once fully prepped, the expert suggested sticking to brightening products and avoiding anything that will darken the eyes, as this can make them look smaller and more tired.
HOW TO LOOK YOUNGER
Black shades might have worked when younger, but softer tones and gentler application methods are more flattering on mature skin.
Rostas said: "Harsh black eyeliner can make eyes appear smaller and heavier. Softer shades, like brown, taupe or plum, are much more flattering, helping define the eyes without looking too stark.
"Adding brightness along the waterline can also make eyes appear bigger, fresher and more awake."
Before applying mascara, consider using an eyelash curler to really enhance your features. The beauty expert said: "Curling lashes instantly opens up the eyes, making them appear brighter, bigger and more awake.

"Adding mascara at the roots helps create lift and definition, giving the eyes a naturally youthful, wide-awake look."
This comes as another beauty expert warned of the foundation mistakes that "accentuate fine lines and skin texture".
Dr Bandy said: "I typically recommend foundation with sheer to medium coverage and with a radiant or satin finish. I have found this provides a nice balance of covering up imperfections without emphasising those same issues.

"Using a matte product may help to accentuate fine lines and skin texture. I generally apply foundation only to areas that need to be covered, and then blend outwards with a dampened sponge so the skin still appears to be skin."
