He has also shared a few hacks to get ahead of the curve for spring, from sowing gorgeous bulbs to separating clump-forming plants.

Ish, who goes by @gardening.with.ish, boasts more than 100,000 followers on TikTok, documenting his daily gardening while helping others too.
In his latest video, he urges green thumbs to keep deadheading flowers like cosmos and dahlias to “continue flowering all the way until the end of October”.
These two flowers pair effortlessly together, often deployed as trusty border plants to create a colourful and flamboyant display.
Generally, they can continue blessing your garden with blossoms until the first signs of frost, killing off their delicate petals.

Another tip that Ish offered up was to dig up and tease out any clump-forming plants. Plenty duplicate and create two plants - returning in spring looking “just as fantastic”.
For your lawn, September is a “really good time” to focus on caring for your green due to the temperature being particularly mild.
The gardener added: “And you can get rid of patches by making a lawn paste which is just wet compost and grass seed and just mushing that straight in.
“Keep that nice and moist and you’ll have nice new grass in the next couple of weeks!”

Ish encouraged keen gardeners to plant bulbs such as daffodils, crocus and snowdrops at around double the depth of the bulb, pointing the pointed side upwards to the sky.
And, finally, to enjoy a “last flush of flowers”, Ish advised keeping on top of watering, adding in a few drops of tomato feeder to boost potassium levels to keep them going for longer.
