Tesco has issued an urgent recall of its Aubergine Katsu Bao Buns after discovering the product may contain milk that was not declared on the packaging.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed that the recall affects all 258g packs with use-by dates up to and including December 13, 2025.
The FSA stated: "Tesco is recalling Tesco 6 Aubergine Katsu Bao Buns because it may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents."
Officials further advised: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk, do not eat it. Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund."

The supermarket has reached out to relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members about the safety concern.
Tesco has also distributed recall notices directly to customers, outlining the reasons behind the recall and providing clear instructions for those affected.

This latest recall follows a separate safety alert issued by Tesco earlier this month concerning Calbee potato crisps.
Tesco stated: "Calbee is recalling all best before date codes up to and including 05/06/26 of Hot & Spicy Potato Chips 55g. This is due to the presence of undeclared mustard allergens, which may pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to mustard."
The retailer added: "Calbee is also recalling all best before date codes up to and including 28/04/26 of Pizza Potato Chips 55g. This is due to the presence of undeclared celery allergens, which may pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to celery."

About allergy alerts
The FS explained: "Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold. Then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
"Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect, or if there is any other food allergy risk. When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert."
