According to the retailer, their Jalapeno Pickle-Flavoured Peanuts & Hot Honey Corn delivers "full-on flavour" through its tantalising pairing of spicy and sweet elements.

The product first launched in June as an exclusive addition to M&S Foodhalls across the nation.

The 200g bags retail at £2.10 and feature what M&S describes as "roasted peanuts in a fiery jalapeño and dill seasoning, with hot honey-caramelised crunchy corn kernels".

Social media reviewer John, known as @johns_snackreviews on Instagram, offered a more measured assessment, sharing his verdict with followers.

He awarded the snack 7 out of 10, noting that the corn pieces were "very well sugar coated" and "taste exactly like sweet popcorn from the cinema".

Shoppers have raved online about the latest releases

However, his review highlighted some shortcomings. While the peanuts delivered "a nice chilli kick", he couldn't detect any jalapeƱo flavour.

The pickle element resembled "more like a vinegar glaze on the nuts" rather than the advertised seasoning, he said. As a result, John concluded he wouldn't buy them again, although he "wouldn't put anyone off giving them a go".

If you're on the look-out for something to wash down the various snacks available from the retailer, Marks & Spencer launched two sparkling sangriassparkling sangrias this summer, priced at an extremely affordable £7 per bottle.
