Social media has gone wild over the Greggs Spicy Veg Bake
Greggs has taken to its social media channels to announce a new product. The British bakery chain said: "The search is over, meet your new obsession: the Spicy Veg Bake."
Hundreds of customers have flocked to the comments sections to react to the news and give their verdicts.
While some can't wait to get their hands on the Spicy Veg Bake, plenty of Greggs customers will be avoiding the new product. In fact, some had a few alternative suggestions for the Greggs menu.
One customer said: "You need to bring back meat and potato pasties. How can a bakery not have the UK's favourite pasty on their menu?"

A second fumed: "Why do you never listen to what the people want? Is your marketing team just so passive-aggressive that they purposely bring out the opposite of what people are asking for?"
A third said: "I really want the BBQ pulled pork and cheese and onion rolls back." Another pleaded: Bring back the flat Cornish pastie."
A disgruntled social media user added: "Don't want spicy veg, just want the spicy chicken and pepperoni bake back."
Another said: "It would be nicer if it was the vegan steak bake or the vegan ham and cheese baguette."
One social media user seconded this: "Yay, another vegetable and chickpea vegan thing - said no one ever. Bring back the vegan sausage, bean and cheese or steak bake."
One Greggs customer had an issue with the heat aspect of the new addition. They said: "Stop making things spicy.
"Give us vegans the bland normal options we want. Bring back the steak and the bean and cheese." Another said: "I miss the old veg pasty with the potato and veg."
"Imagine if you made a cheese and onion for vegans or a chicken bake," one Instagram user suggested.
"I feel like it’s always a spicy tomato-based bake every time. I mean, I’ll eat it, but cheese and onion please."
Some were pleased to hear about the Spicy Veg Bake, however. A Greggs customer was delighted, stating: "Stop it! Sign me up!" Another exclaimed: "Holy mother of pearl! Want want want."
