Maintaining motivation to keep up with consistent and frequent workouts can be a challenge, especially when you’re not seeing the desired results.
However, it doesn’t need to be the same strict regiment everyday. In fact, TikToker and fitness enthusiast Cay Bennett has advised against doing so.
The gym bunny, who goes by @cay.bennett on the video-sharing platform, told followers that staying creative and innovative with your exercise is key.
“I have tried a lot of different forms of exercise over the years and I just found what works for me is mixing it up,” she shared online.

“There’s not been one thing that has helped me, it’s been a bunch of things,” Cay admitted, explaining how she had given up solely focusing on specific types of exercise.
As a result, she encouraged those keen to transform their body to look towards adding a bit of innovation into their regimen.
Low intensity workouts involving walking, running, swimming and Pilates have all helped Cay on her way to achieving the results she wanted.
Sharing her before and after pictures, which are dated about nine months apart, Cay explained how, with experimentation, light cardio was best for her and anything that was not too high in intensity, with one complimentary user commenting that her results were "unreal".

However, she did admit that she experienced having a “love-hate” relationship with running and she found herself struggling with consistency.
“The only way you’re going to sustain it is if it’s realistic for you,” the Liverpudlian gym goer advised, speaking from first-hand experience.
Cay recounted how there was a period of time where she only did strength-training but she found that it “didn’t help her get her body to where she wanted it to be - but for some people it does”.
“Not everything that one person does is going to work for you necessarily,” she admitted, adding: “You need to find what works for you.”
The fitness guru even divulged her “struggle” to reach 10,000 steps a day, which is an often-cited goal in the dieting world.
But, with her weight loss goal in mind, she said that she made changes to her day-to-day life to do the best she could to achieve this goal.
“I’d be lucky if I was getting 2000 steps a day so I went out of my way to meet this more, and made the changes I could,” she explained, adding that she began walking to and from work, to the supermarket and “wherever [she] could walk”.
Before incorporating any new exercise to your routine, it is best to consult your GP to make sure that it's the best method for you to stay fit.
