Fitness fan has detailed three workouts that helped flatten her stomach

Many people feel discouraged on their quest to burn belly fat as a combination of factors make the area difficult to target.

But the quest for a flatter stomach becomes even more difficult for women when they face hormonal changes, decreased muscle mass and a slowing metabolism.

Fortunately, a gym enthusiast - who goes by Serafinabnu on TikTok - recently showed viewers that anything is possible after tightening her abdomen with just exercises, reversing her diastasis recti.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, diastasis recti occurs when the abdominal muscles separate during pregnancy due to prolonged stretching.

The gym-goer says three workouts strengthened her core

Over time, this can make the belly stick out, requiring a targeted exercise regimen to help close the separation.

Addressing viewers, Serafinabnu explained: "Three exercises helped me heal my diastasis recti and strengthen my core.

"I achieved these results by combining these exercises with the right nutrition.

"The exercises focus on strengthening the deep abdominal muscles, helping to flatten your stomach and eliminate the 'still pregnant' look."

The first of the three workouts in Serafinabnu's arsenal is the bear crawl, which works out the entire body, including the abdominal wall.

It requires starting on all fours with the hands positioned directly under the shoulders and the knees under the hips.

Keeping the back flat on the ground and the core tightly engaged, the knees are then lifted in turns.

Anyone who performs the exercise will quickly notice its core-strengthening benefits, but it can also burn a significant number of calories.

The reverse plank helps build a stronger core

The reverse plank, which primarily targets the back of the body, also helps build a stronger core.

This won’t single-handedly sculpt a six pack, but it will strengthen the muscles that support and stabilise the core, contributing to a toned appearance.

The glute bridge, which primarily targets the glutes and hamstrings, helps strengthen deeper abdominal muscles by engaging them to help stabilise the hips during the movement.

Ultimately, this will help achieve a flatter stomach and a more defined waistline. As the content creator pointed out in her clip, however, results appear sooner when consistent efforts are paired with a healthy diet.
