A healthy diet is essential if you want to lose weight. One slimmer took to TikTok to reveal the eating habit she stopped to see major results.
Liza (@lizamarie_fit on TikTok) credited her 100lb (7st 2lb) weight loss journey to walking and cutting out fast food.
The slimmer revealed that overall she has managed to lose 140lb (10st). The first 7st 2lb she managed to do "before even getting into a gym".
Liza explained that the "number one" way she lost weight was by upping her step count and going for daily walks.

She combined this with "cutting out fast food". Fast food is defined as easily prepared processed food served in snack bars and restaurants as a quick meal or to be taken away.
It is typically high in calories, fat, sugar, salt and processed ingredients, whilst being low in nutrients.
Popular examples of fast food include fish and chips, sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken, chips, onion rings, chicken nuggets, tacos, pizza, hot dogs and ice cream.
Liza said: "That was all I was doing. I was eating the majority of my meals at home and I was walking every single day.
"I want you to know the power of a calorie deficit and the power of walking - it's the secret sauce for weight loss.
"When it comes down to losing weight, it doesn't have to be that complicated. I was not tracking calories - I did not start tracking calories until months into my journey.
"By making 80 per cent of my meals at home every single week and hitting a daily step goal of 10,000 steps, I was naturally putting myself in a calorie deficit."
Speaking about the importance of walking, Liza said: "I want you to know that the power of walking is so strong.
"And I want you to know that walking is the number one thing that helped me lose the weight."
Once the slimmer had lost around 30-40lb (2st 2lb-2st 12lb), she decided to add more weight-loss-friendly habits to her plate.

Only when she had gotten her diet under control and was hitting her daily steps, Liza started to incorporate home workouts into her routine. She did these two to three times a week.
Then, after a few months, she started tracking her food and upping her protein intake.
By "habit stacking" (getting into the routine of one good habit before adding more and more), Liza saw incredible results.
She said: "I got my gym membership after I lost 100lb (7st 2lb) and this is my lifestyle. I turned all these things into my lifestyle by not doing them all at once but doing them one step at a time."
