Motorists could save hundreds of pounds a year on their car insurance by making small changes to their habits, with experts calling on motorists to take action immediately.
Millions of drivers across the UK continue to face huge car insurance costs, with younger motorists slapped with prices that can exceed £2,000 as soon as they get their licence.
On average, road users are paying £726 for their car insurance, even though prices have dropped more than £100 over the last 12 months.
Britons are now paying the lowest average price seen since March 2023, although many are still struggling to deal with expensive costs to keep their cars on the road.

Ahead of renewal, experts have urged motorists to shop around for cheaper offers instead of accepting the offer from their current insurer.
In particular, drivers should shop around for their insurance around 28 days before they are due to renew, with data suggesting that they could save £541.
The so-called "sweet spot" allowed drivers to pay an average of £511 in their quote, a significant saving to those who leave renewal until the last minute.
Those who get a quote on the day of their renewal will pay an average of £1,052, with drivers routinely paying upwards of £900 if they leave it late.

| GETTYMatt Crole-Rees, motoring expert at Confused.com, said: "When it comes to buying car insurance, there are a lot of details that we might overlook which could in fact save us money.
"Things like protecting no claims or adding a licence number can result in significant savings. Even adding a named driver rather than relying on third-party cover could save you hundreds."
Motorists can also make significant savings on their insurance by adding another driver to their policy.
If someone is the sole driver on their policy, they will pay an average of £917, while adding another driver could bring that down to just £650.

Mr Crole-Rees said: "It's important that you are always accurate and honest when it comes to your car insurance quote.
"Flexing a few details to save money could put you at risk of invalidating your policy. But when it comes to your renewal, looking at if these small changes apply to you could help to save money."
