BYD has announced a major new partnership as the Chinese manufacturer looks to accelerate its offering of electric vehicles in the UK.
The Chinese brand has partnered with Electric Vehicles UK to provide clear and accessible information about zero emission vehicles to potential customers.
BYD has quickly become one of the UK's favourite brands, despite launching less than two years ago, with drivers impressed with affordable prices and technologically advanced vehicles.
In a major mark of strength, BYD has overtaken Tesla as the best-selling electric vehicle brand in the world, despite still selling cars with non-electric powertrains.

Data also shows that BYD is the leading New Energy Vehicle manufacturer in the UK, with its wide range of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The new partnership with EVUK will give BYD greater access to consumer events and grow the recognition of the brand.
Bono Ge, country manager of BYD UK, said: "We're delighted to be joining EVUK to fully support its mission to increase consumer awareness of electric vehicles.
"Together we aim to explain the various benefits of owning an electric car - from a smoother, quieter drive, responsive performance and reduced running costs - by providing accurate information to the public.

BYD already sells a number of electric vehicles, including the Seal, Seal U, Sealion 7, Tang, Atto 3, Dolphin and Han.
While BYD continues to focus on electric vehicles, like other Chinese brands joining the UK market, it also places a large emphasis on hybrid vehicles.
With many drivers still unsure about having confidence in switching to an electric car, a plug-in hybrid often acts as a stepping stone before investing in a zero emission vehicle.

Tanya Sinclair, CEO of Electric Vehicles UK, said she was "delighted" to welcome the Shenzhen-based company as a partner to the EVUK organisation.
She added: "They are innovators in EV technology and are among the global manufacturers moving away from fossil-fuelled vehicles and accelerating the UK's transition to an all-electric future.

BYD saw a huge 485 per cent surge in sales year-on-year in 2025
| BYDBYD will be looking to further boost sales in the UK over the remaining 11 months of the year following an impressive 2025.
Data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) showed that BYD sold 51,422 new vehicles, representing a market share of 2.54 per cent.
This was a staggering 485.14 per cent increase compared to the previous year, when it registered 8,788 new cars.
While it has only been in the UK for a few years, it has already outsold major brands including Citroen, Cupra, Dacia, Fiat, Honda, Mini and Tesla.
