Aldi customers can get their hands on exciting products this March, including last-minute Mother's Day flowers

Aldi is set to make major changes this month, including a step in planet-friendly packaging, a new parcel service, several product relaunches, and even a new product.

Aldi recently announced that it was going to launch its own-brand paper wine bottles as a way to reduce its carbon footprint.

The bottles, made from 94 per cent recycled paperboard and lined with a food-grade pouch to contain the wine, are fully recyclable.

The supermarket said: "By replacing glass bottles with paper and stocking in stores nationwide, Aldi has generated a carbon footprint reduction that is equivalent to driving around the planet 5.8 times – giving eco-conscious wine lovers even more reason to say cheers this spring."

Managing Director of Buying at Aldi Julie Ashfield said: "Shoppers are striving to become more sustainable in their everyday lives, looking for small ways to make a big difference for our planet.

Our Buying Teams are continuously thinking of how we can evolve our ranges to offer greater value and greener choices. We are proud to be the first supermarket to launch an own-brand paper bottle, helping to drive sustainable change."

Customers will be able to get their hands on the sustainable wine bottles from March 18, on Global Recycling Day.

A second change happening this month at Aldi is the launch of InPost lockers at 22 Aldi stores across the country. The introduction of InPost lockers means that customers can collect and return online orders from other retailers.

Communications director at Aldi UK Richard Thornton said: "We are all about making things efficient for our customers, and the installation of InPost lockers will make shopping at Aldi even more convenient."

As well as its sustainability and efficiency initiatives, the beloved supermarket has also announced the relaunch of several products back by popular demand, coming to stores this month.

On March 7, Aldi celebrated the return of its best-selling - and award-winning - alcohol-free Rosé, for shoppers who want to enjoy a hangover-free tipple. Customers can purchase a bottle of Zerozecco Rosé for £2.99 (75cl).

Aldi said: "Whether it’s motivated by hangover hatred or a newfound love for tasty 0 per cent tipples, the new Zerozecco Rosé is expected to be a bubbling sell-out once again."

For those who still need to do some (very last-minute) Mother's Day shopping, Aldi's new flower bouquets have hit the shelves, and one is priced at less than £2.

Aldi said: "For those looking to make a statement this Mother’s Day, Aldi’s Specially Selected Sweet Perfection Bouquet (£19.99) is sure to impress."

Aldi's several beautiful bouquets landed in stores on March 6. From chrysanthemums to delphinium to roses to lilies, there's something for every flower fan.

Aldi also announced the return of a £4 supermarket fan favourite just in time for Easter - and customers can expect a "triumphant comeback".

On March 14, Kevin the Carrot will be back with an Easter twist, priced at £3.99. Look no further if you're searching for a non-chocolatey Easter gift for children.

In other Aldi news, internet frenzy ensued when a man asked if Aldi's Nordpak is just as good as Lurpak.

The question caused a real divide in opinion. Some Aldi customers said they "can't tell the difference" between the two spreads, while a long-term Lurpak fan argued that there is "no comparison - Lurpak by a mile".
