A number of The View stars have been slammed by ABC viewers in the USA following their reactions to the historic peace deal in the Middle East.
On Monday, a deal brokered by President Donald Trump saw 20 Israeli hostages held captive by Hamas returned to their families after two years of captivity.
In exchange, almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees also returned to their loved ones following 24 months of war in Gaza.
World leaders across the world have commended President Trump for his work in brokering the deal between the two sides, and there were emotional scenes across Israel once the hostages were handed back.

However, when discussing the peace deal on Monday's The View, only Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines saw it as suitable to applaud the president for his part in the historic achievement.
Ms Goldberg kicked the discussion off, telling viewers: "There is a lot of anticipation and celebration this morning because after two years of captivity by Hamas, the 20 remaining Israeli hostages were released and reunited with their families. Here are a few of the emotional reunions captured on video. Take a look."
After clips of hostages being reunited with their families played, Ms Goldberg then cut to a clip of President Trump delivering his subsequent speech in the Israeli Knesset. "And this was the scene at the Israeli Parliament just a few hours ago, take a look," she said.
After footage of Mr Trump's speech played, Ms Goldberg continued: "So, 1,700 Palestinian prisoners have also been released and reunited with their families, and as of this morning, there is no fighting in Gaza. And I think we all pray it can stay that way."

Applause broke out among the audience, although Ms Hostin and Ms Navarro notably decided to abstain from clapping.
Ms Farah Griffin was the first star to offer her thoughts. "That's exactly right. Listen, if this peace deal holds, which I pray that it does, it's historic. It's a massive diplomatic achievement, and I think the whole world can breathe a sigh of relief," she began.
"I met some of the hostages' families and know how hard this was for them for the last two years. There's not a Jew across the world who didn't feel personally affected by the events of October 7. The 20 that were released never knew they were gonna get that day. There are also the remains of other hostages that are going to be repatriated to Israel.
"Then, for the innocent Palestinians who got caught in the crossfire of this war that Hamas, a terrorist organisation, started, they're getting aid... people who have been starving, who had no reason to be involved in this conflict, are going to get the aid they need. I think everyone should be able to celebrate it."

ABC The View: Ana Navarro didn't seem too enthusiastic

Giving credit where credit was due, she went on: "And whether you like Trump or not, he, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner do deserve credit for this deal.
"They actually personally met with Hamas. I used to be of the mind that you do not negotiate with terrorists, but sometimes the only way to get peace is to sit down with some of the most evil people and come up with what we can do to end the bloodshed. So thank God, I hope that this peace holds."
Ms Haines was next to wade in and similarly praised the deal: "Hamas has no power. One thing they kept sticking to every time these ceasefires didn’t work is that they did not want to cede power because they had their tunnel system, and they were using their citizens as human shields.
"And the devastation — they did not want to hand it over, and then they were destroyed. They really had no choice. But I think the speech we saw today is going to hold to account also Prime Minister Netanyahu, because Donald Trump went on record saying there are things that Israel now needs to do as well.

"So this deal was a compromise. Neither side got everything they wanted, but most importantly, those hostages are home, aid is flooding into Gaza, and Hamas has no power ever again in that area."
Next up was Ms Navarro, who, it's fair to say, wasn't as joyous as her two previous co-stars. "You know, I’m cautiously optimistic because we’ve been here before and then it’s gone wrong, and I pray that this time it’s different," she began.
"I stayed up last night until I don’t know, two or three in the morning, watching the first batch of hostages as they were released. And I love that there was a split screen showing the joy of the hostages being released, but also the throngs of people from Gaza walking back — a sea of people walking back into that city that’s rubble.
"And you think of all the suffering, just two-plus years of relentless, unending, unimaginable suffering. The families suffering, the victims suffering, the hostages suffering, the people who had to flee Gaza, the innocent ones suffering — and for what? For what purpose were these two years of such pain?

"So you know, honestly — let me just quote John Lennon: can we please just try to give peace a chance?"
The View crowd applauded before Ms Hostin took over: "I think we’ve said it all. It’s just — as a faithful person, it has been my daily prayer that there be peace there.
"And I remain a faithful person that this truly is the dawn of peace in the Middle East. I truly hope that this will be a lasting, lasting peace there."
Ms Goldberg concluded the discussion by sharing her thoughts, focusing solely on the population of Gaza: "And also, it’s good to be able to say to people, remember — the Palestinians are separate from Hamas.
"Remember, they were not able to vote, they could not do anything, they had no rights in their country. So it’s good that we have all been able to say, 'Oh, okay, that’s the difference here.'
"The winners are now all the families — all the families who get to come home, all the families who are gathering their people to them. That’s the win. So yeah, let’s hope, like Walter Cronkite used to say when I was little on Christmas Eve, he would say, 'Tonight, there is peace in the world.' So right now, we’re saying, today, tonight — there’s peace in the world."
After clips of the debate were shared across social media, several X users flocked to unleash their less-than-favourable thoughts on the hosts' reactions and their decision to abstain from praising President Trump.
"You can hear the utter disgust they have in their voices that Trump was able to get this done," one person mocked, before a second weighed in: "So I only heard 1 of the 5 tip their hat to Trump. Pathetic and miserable."

"Trump brokered the ceasefire deal!!! Say the words Woopi!!! Trump is your president!!!" a third urged before a fourth added: "So no praise given to Trump because The View are such HORRIBLE excuse for human beings. Their TDS is so bad they won't acknowledge that Trump made this happen."
"Anna and Sunny have next level TDS [Trump Derangement Syndrome] or are just completely ignorant," a fifth commented, referring to slang term used for one's irrational hatred of the president.
"You can see the nausea rising up in them. They just can't see beyond their hatred of Trump to rejoice in this first, most important step to peace. Obviously, it made Joy Behar so ill she had to stay home," a sixth also ridiculed.
"These nasty hosts couldn’t even say one respectful nice word about DJT brokering this deal and getting hostages released. Spiteful people #CancelTheView," added a seventh before an eighth ehoed: "Say his name Whoopi. Say his name Sunny. Say his name ladies. You look ridiculous and hate-filled by trying to avoid his name. His name is Donald J. Trump. I know it hurts but you could do it." (sic)
