The station also dominates evenings where it beat all other news stations in the last quarter

GB News Radio still reigns supreme as the UK’s fastest growing news station after increasing its audience 43% in the last year, according RAJAR ratings released today.

The station also dominates evenings, where it beat all other news stations in the last quarter with more listeners than TalkRadio, Times Radio, and LBC News UK from 7pm. GB News’ late night newspaper review show Headliners doubled its audience while Patrick Christys Tonight is up 62% and Jacob Rees-Mogg’s State of the Nation up 32%.

In Drivetime, Martin Daubney had 45% more listeners than in the last survey period for Q4 last year.

GB News Radio, a live simulcast of its television channel which launched just two years ago, now reaches its biggest audience ever with 455,000 listeners a week, up 43% on a year ago.

Meanwhile, its three main rivals – Times Radio, TalkRadio and LBC News UK - have all lostbetween 9-10% of their audiences over the last 12 months.

Listeners’ passion for GB News Radio was also evident with a new high in listening hours, which are up to 3.2 million hours a week, an increase of 22% in the last year, and up 15% in the last quarter.

The RAJAR data revealed that GB News Radio strongly attracts affluent workers and young retirees aged 55 and 64, who form a third of its listening audience.

Commercial Director Nicole O’Shea said: “GB News Radio has started 2024 by growing even faster than it did last year, when we were already the fastest growing station in the country.

“It’s proof that our authentic brand of news and debate is increasingly resonating with listeners across the UK, and also that those listeners are increasingly valuable for advertisers.”
