Comedy legend Tommy Cannon has admitted to feeling "hurt" after discovering he had been left out of ITV's 70th anniversary celebrations earlier this year.
The comedian and presenter, who, along with the late Bobby Ball, fronted The Cannon and Ball Show for almost a decade, took aim at channel bosses after being "dismissed without a word".
Mr Cannon and Mr Ball became staples of the comedy scene across the '70s, '80s, and '90s, and appeared frequently on ITV during that period.
So to discover the comedy duo had been snubbed by ITV for the milestone occasion, Mr Cannon took to social media to let loose.

Earlier this week, the comedian blasted: "70 years of ITV. Cannon & Ball gave it everything. We were the wallpaper, not just the furniture.
"To be left out of the celebration? That hurts. Not for me—but for Bobby. For the fans. For the legacy. We made millions laugh. That should’ve counted. @ITV."
One fan responded: "Did you get an invitation to the party? I was thinking who they've not included on ITVX, and Michael Aspel is a big omission, but I saw he went to the 70th anniversary do, at least."
To which Mr Cannon clarified: "Not even invited to that."

I gave @ITV decades of laughter, loyalty, and love. To be dismissed without a word—it hurt. But your messages, your memories, your warmth… they’ve lifted me. Thank you for reminding me where the real legacy lives. With you. Always. ❤️

A third weighed in: "So sorry to read this @TheTommyCannon @ITV, what are you even thinking? This should be put right with immediate effect!"
Elsewhere, a fourth echoed: "That is very hurtful Tommy. I can see why you would be angry about that. Probably their biggest stars & you must have earned them some revenue.
