Susan Boyle has announced a new project just days after debuting a stinking transformation on social media.

The 65-year-old Scottish performer, who shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent, shared the news of her new musical partnership with ice cream manufacturer Cornetto.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the singer offered fans a glimpse of herself recording a track about "delicious ice cream" whilst wearing a brown tracksuit.

The collaboration follows Ms Boyle's attention-grabbing return to the spotlight last week, when she posted images showcasing a sophisticated new appearance featuring a sleek blonde bob hairstyle, designer sunglasses and an elegant long brown fur coat.

The singer from Blackburn hinted at a "new era" in her career, sending her devoted fanbase into excited speculation about what was to come.

On Friday, Ms Boyle shared a photograph of herself posing in a recording studio, dressed in a velour brown tracksuit emblazoned with the words "Just One" across the back.

Accompanying the image was a witty caption playing on the warm weather, in which she wrote: "I've heard it's Susan Boyling out there and it's about to get hotter. Just One is out soon xx."

The post rapidly went viral, accumulating more than 54,000 likes as fans eagerly speculated about what the beloved singer has planned for today.

Many followers also attempted to decipher clues about her mysterious upcoming project.

The teaser campaign proved effective in building anticipation, with the Cornetto partnership finally confirmed on Monday through her Instagram story, revealing the ice cream brand as the collaborator behind her studio sessions.

Many fans rushed to congratulate Ms Boyle, writing congratulatory messages in the comments.

Ms Boyle first captured the nation's attention in 2009 when she auditioned for ITV's Britain's Got Talent, delivering a stunning performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables that left audiences astonished.

Despite the memorable audition, she ultimately finished as runner-up in the competition.

Her career since has been remarkably successful, with the singer achieving three chart-topping albums in the UK alongside a Top 10 single.

The performer has also earned recognition on the international stage, receiving two Grammy Award nominations over the course of her nearly two-decade career in the music industry.

Her journey from BGT contestant to global recording artist has made her one of the most recognisable voices to emerge from the talent show format.

Ms Boyle received notable praise from Hollywood last year when actor Timothee Chalamet named her among his top five favourite Britons, placing her alongside Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham.

The 30-year-old star made the revelation during an appearance on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, where he spoke admiringly about her iconic talent show moment.

"She dreamt big she dreamt bigger than all of us. Who wasn't moved by that?" Mr Chalamet said, reflecting on the impact of her BGT audition.

The unexpected celebrity endorsement made headlines at the time, and Ms Boyle later responded by posting a musical tribute to the actor on Instagram, wishing him a happy birthday in her own distinctive style.
