ITV presenter Ranvir Singh has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery after experiencing a sudden stomach ache.
The 47-year-old, who regularly fills in for Lorraine Kelly on her ITV morning show, fell ill last Wednesday despite appearing on screen earlier that day.
Singh had been hosting Lorraine wearing a "gorgeous linen white pinstripe suit" but later revealed she felt "drained and foggy" that morning.
By 10:30am, she experienced a "sudden stomach ache" which led to her staying in bed all day, according to her Instagram post.

The situation quickly escalated, requiring urgent medical intervention. It was later discovered that Singh had suffered a ruptured appendix, requiring emergency surgery.
The operation took place at midnight on Thursday, with the presenter waking up at 5am on Friday.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
In her social media update, Singh revealed the severity of her condition, explaining that bacteria had "spread and infected my blood".
The sudden nature of her illness meant she was unable to appear on Friday's show, with Andi Peters stepping in to host Lorraine at the last minute.
Singh joked that she woke up "high on anaesthetic and certain I could get into work to host the show as normal".
Sharing details of her ordeal on Instagram, Singh posted contrasting images of herself looking glamorous at the ITV studio alongside photos of her hospital stay.
"Pretty nasty few days, the bacteria had spread and infected my blood, etc, and told to take this week off," she wrote.
The presenter described her current condition, saying: "I'm sore and shuffling around, can't drive for a week, and no exercise for 4 weeks!"
She also asked followers about an unexpected symptom: "Anyone else have this horrendous shoulder pain afterwards? It's mad isn't it!"
Singh appears to be recovering at home following the emergency procedure and has been advised to take the current week off work to recover from her surgery.

This follows Kelly's own temporary absence from her morning show, with the 65-year-old Scottish broadcaster undergoing preventative surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes.
While Singh recovers at home, she admitted that "really it's the boredom that will kill me" due to her current restrictions.
It remains unclear when Singh will return to her presenting duties on ITV.
The presenter has received an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues following her health scare.
