| PAThe 60-year-old television personality documented his ordeal on Instagram, sharing photographs of himself lying in his hospital bed as well as the stark X-ray image revealing his broken hip.
Mr Morgan took a characteristically humorous approach to announcing his misfortune, posting a numbered list on both Instagram and X that detailed the sequence of events leading to his hospitalisation.
In his post, he wrote: "1. Tripped on a small step. 2. Inside a London hotel restaurant. 3. Fell like a sack of spuds. 4. Fractured neck of femur.

Fellow television personalities were quick to offer their support in the comments section beneath Mr Morgan's posts.
