Peter Andre has revealed he sustained painful dental injuries after an intoxicated fan accidentally kicked a microphone into his face during a live performance.
The 52-year-old singer disclosed the previously unknown incident on his Instagram Stories, describing how the impact left him with badly chipped teeth and in considerable discomfort.
"Someone came up on stage, had a few too many to drink, kicked their leg up to have a bit of fun, kicked the mic, the mic went straight into my tooth and chipped it badly," Mr Andre explained to his followers.
"I was in absolute pain, caused a few chips actually - talk about a kick in the teeth," he added, making light of the unfortunate situation with a pun.

Recording a video message from a car while travelling to his dental appointment on Tuesday, the performer detailed how the inebriated fan's exuberant leg movement sent the microphone crashing directly into his mouth.
The force of the blow was sufficient to cause multiple chips to his teeth, requiring professional intervention to repair the damage.

|Despite the painful ordeal, Mr Andre maintained his characteristic sense of humour when sharing the story with his social media followers.
Fortunately for Mr Andre, his wife Emily MacDonagh's brother Tom operates an aesthetics clinic that includes a private cosmetic dentistry service called DentaQuest.
The singer took the opportunity to promote his brother-in-law's practice while sharing news of his dental drama, with Emily also featuring the treatment on the clinic's Instagram account.
Following his visit, Mr Andre expressed his delight at the restoration work carried out by the dental team.

"Anyway I went there and look what they've done. Just put my original teeth back to normal.
"Look! Oh I'm so happy. No chips, or potatoes in general," he quipped, clearly pleased with the outcome.
The treatment successfully repaired all the damage caused by the stage incident, returning his smile to its former condition.
Mr Andre tied the knot with NHS doctor Emily in 2015, and the couple have since welcomed three children together: Millie, now 11, Theo, aged nine, and their youngest daughter Belle, who is 21 months old.

The performer is also father to two older children from his previous marriage to former glamour model Katie Price, with Junior now 20 and Princess 18.
Writing recently in his New! magazine column, the 52-year-old reflected on fatherhood, noting that while some people prefer to establish their careers before starting a family, he felt ready at the time he began having children.
"I'm done at 52, I am happy with my brood!" he declared, expressing contentment with his family of five children.
