The mother of seven made her feelings clear over the dress being sold online

Paris Fury has responded with her usual dry humour after one of her daughter Venezuela's bridesmaids attempted to offload her wedding attire online just days after the ceremony.

Libby Peat, who was among the 18 bridesmaids at Venezuela's nuptials to Noah Price, uploaded her pale blue Mode Mwah gown to reselling platform Vinted on May 20.

She priced it at £525.70 including buyer protection, and gave a full description as to the make of the dress, as well as plenty of pictures for reference.

When the listing sparked controversy, Paris initially backed her daughter's friend before later poking fun at the situation.

"Did it sell Libby?" the mother of seven quipped beneath one of Libby's recent social media posts, accompanied by a laughing emoji.

The bridesmaid's decision to monetise her wedding outfit drew swift backlash from social media users.

Social media users questioned whether Venezuela would appreciate her friend's actions, with one commenter writing: "Sure your mate would be thrilled!?!"

Others suggested Libby could have approached the bride directly for financial assistance rather than selling the gown, while some queried who had originally paid for the dress.

Libby had openly admitted she was short of funds, posting on TikTok: "Who wants to buy my bridesmaid dress super broke right now could use the money."

She added that she required cash for Royal Ascot outfits, though later clarified the "broke" comment was intended as a joke.

Paris came to Libby's defence when the criticism mounted, leaving a supportive comment on social media.

"I told her to go for it. She can't exactly wear it again," the Fury matriarch wrote.

The Vinted listing has since disappeared from the platform, indicating either a successful sale or a decision to withdraw the item.

Whilst available, the dress was described as a bespoke, handmade garment featuring intricate hand-sewn beading, sized as an 8 with a lace-up corset back.

The listing noted the train was not included with the tight-fitted skirt and bodice combination that Libby wore to both the ceremony and reception.

Libby defended her decision to sell rather than store the gown, explaining the practical limitations she faced.

"Can't exactly wrap it up and put it in a plastic bag and put it in my 10ft long, 5ft wide caravan for the next 40 years," she stated in a TikTok video.

"Doesn't seem like a feasible plan, so it was either sell it or put it in the bin."

She dismissed the online furore as overblown, adding: "It's never that serious over a dress I've already worn."

The bridesmaid also noted she had "places to be, people to see, champagne to buy and horses to bet on," describing some of the critical comments as "diabolical."
