Monty Don has sparked a divided response with his latest social media post following the general election.
The horticulturist, 68, took to Instagram on Friday to congratulate his new local MP, who is a member of the Green Party.
The gardening expert posted a snap of his garden and wrote alongside it: "I am delighted that I am now represented in Parliament by a Green MP - many congratulations to Ellie Chowns for winning Herefordshire North. An historic achievement."
Many took to the comments to either agree or question Don's stance, with some arguing the party's manifesto was "insane".
One comment read: "It’s insane. Did people bother to read their manifesto? I don’t see them standing up for the farming industry or scrapping the net zero targets which would harm rural communities."
"I hope that works out for you as you hope," another remarked. However, some were celebrating along with the green-thumbed presenter.
"Fabulous news. Sad to have not seen more green seats this time around," another remarked.
Someone else penned: "That’s wonderful! My parents voted Green for the first time in their lives, never thought I’d see them turn from blue to green. Was so proud of them. They’re in your constituency."
"Great news - someone passionate about restoring the river!" another enthused.
The Gardeners' World star have been active on Instagram in the last few weeks, with another recent post leaving fans "crying".

Don's following enjoy his gardening demonstrations as well as the relationship he has with his beloved dogs, which is always a feature of the BBC series.
Heartbreakingly, his Labrador Nell died late last year, three years after the death of fellow Gardeners' World pooch, Golden Retriever Nigel.
On both occasions, Don paid a special tribute as he broke the sad news with fans, and he continues to update them on the four-legged friends he still has, Ned and Patti.
Earlier this week, Monty shared a nostalgic photo of Nell, Patti and himself which showed him smiling down at the two sleepy dogs in his arms.

One penned: "Awww beautiful Nell, what a lovely photo," while another added: "They love their Dad. Dear Nell, always remembered."
"Aawww made me cry. Sending you a hug Monty for all your fur babies," another shared.
