The Love Island star was concerned she may have been suffering with a blood clot

Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has revealed she was rushed to hospital after returning from Dubai with Tommy Fury and their daughter Bambi due to fears she had developed a blood clot.

The 25-year-old influencer and Maebe founder shared her ordeal in a YouTube video uploaded on Saturday, describing how she experienced "severe pain" in her leg following the long-haul flight.

Hague explained she felt a "sharp, stabbing pain" in her leg which later moved to her knee and ankle, prompting concerns about a potential blood clot.

"Basically yesterday I thought I had a blood clot and half of today I thought I had a blood clot in my leg," she told viewers in the video.

The reality star admitted she hadn't moved around enough during the nearly eight-hour flight and barely drank any water as she was focused on looking after her daughter.

She described being in "mum mode" during the flight, saying: "You know when you're in mum mode and you're just not really thinking like you're trying to tame your child."

The pain began after a lengthy hair appointment the day after returning home, where she had been seated for about seven hours.

"When I got up from the chair from having my hair done, I had the most excruciating pain in my leg," Hague explained.

"It was in the back of my knee, so so strong. It didn't feel like a dead leg, it was like a sharp stabbing pain."

She revealed the pain persisted for about four hours and nothing would alleviate it.

"Then it's moving down into my calf, into my ankle, into my foot, like my whole calf is just in so much pain," she added.

Her leg also became "slightly swollen" and "felt hot" as the symptoms worsened.

Concerned by her symptoms, Hague called NHS 111 for advice and was told to "go straight to A&E" after speaking with a doctor.

The influencer said she spent "hours" in the emergency department, which was "absolutely packed" despite her expectation that a Thursday night would be quieter.

"It was such a sad environment," she said, adding that she didn't want to "waste" anyone's time but felt she needed to take her symptoms "seriously".

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

After waiting four hours, Hague was told she would need to wait at least another hour for a blood test and then three more hours to see a doctor about the results.

She decided to leave at that point, explaining: "I need to leave, like I can't stay here any longer."

The following day, the reality star experienced an "awful dizzy spell" where "the room was spinning" and she felt nauseous, prompting another hospital visit.

"I couldn't breathe properly. I was panicking," she recalled.

After being checked over during her second hospital visit, Hague was reassured by medical staff that there was no cause for concern.

"They said that I'm completely fine," she shared. "There was nothing that showed them any sort of concern or anything about a blood clot."

The influencer told her followers she was feeling better, saying simply: "I feel fine now."

Hague explained that she wanted to share her experience to raise awareness, as she hadn't previously considered the possibility of developing a blood clot at her age.

She reflected that "things like that can just happen out of nowhere" and seemed keen to highlight the importance of taking potential symptoms seriously.

The health scare came after Hague had enjoyed a luxury holiday in Dubai with Tommy Fury, 26, and their two-year-old daughter Bambi earlier this month.
