The family of television doctor Michael Mosley have marked the first anniversary of his death with an emotional tribute, describing the past twelve months as "the hardest of our lives".
Dr Clare Bailey Mosley shared a heartfelt message on Instagram yesterday, reflecting on the loss of her husband who died aged 67 whilst holidaying on the Greek island of Symi last June.
"It's hard to believe that a year has passed since we lost Michael," she wrote. "Not a day goes by without thinking of him – his warmth, his laughter, his endless curiosity about the world, and his deep love for our family."
The broadcaster was renowned for popularising intermittent fasting through his 5:2 diet and presenting science programmes for the BBC and Channel 4.

She went on to express gratitude for the public response to his death, adding: "The outpouring of love, stories and memories from so many of you has meant more than we can ever say.
"We have taken real comfort in knowing just how many lives Michael touched – not only through his work, but through his kindness, humour, and deep desire to help people live well for longer."

Last month, they announced the establishment of the Michael Mosley Memorial Research Fund in partnership with King's College London and the Chronic Disease Research Foundation (CDRF).

Mosley's death last year was ruled "indeterminate" and "unascertainable" by a coroner, who stated it was "most likely attributable either to heatstroke (accidental) or non-identified pathological cause".
