Maura Higgins has prompted fierce criticism from fans after confessing she had not watched One Battle After Another, despite securing an invitation to Elton John's prestigious Academy Awards viewing party.
The 35-year-old former Love Island star, currently promoting her appearance on The US Traitors, was among the celebrities attending the annual bash on Sunday evening.
When asked by Sky News whether she was pleased the Paul Thomas Anderson film had claimed Best Picture, Ms Higgins issued an honest response.
"I've not watched it! I don't watch an awful lot, lately I've not had a lot of time at all, yeah I've not really watched much TV lately," she admitted.

As the clip circulated on X, it drew widespread backlash from viewers who questioned her presence at the exclusive event.
Critics expressed their frustration at the reality star receiving a coveted invitation while those who actually work in the film industry were overlooked.
One X user wrote: "Crew members that work their a***s off to make these films don't get the invite but this breezer just walks in for what exactly?
"What input to the film industry does she have to make her being there worthwhile?"

Not everyone was critical of the television personality, though, with some rushing to her defence.
