The singer shared that she 'just found out' the information

Lulu has revealed she recently discovered her late ex-husband Maurice Gibb secretly fathered a son, potentially while the pair were still married.

The 77-year-old Scottish singer made the startling disclosure during an appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, where she spoke openly about her relationship with the Bee Gees star.

"I think he's got a son. It might have happened when we were married. I just found out," she told Mr Theroux.

The Shout singer explained that genetic testing had confirmed the child's parentage beyond doubt.

"Someone showed me something and I can't remember the year he impregnated this girl after a one night stand and he has a son who has had his genes taken.

"It's proven. He's a hundred percent Maurice's," she said.

Lulu admitted she hadn't investigated when the child was born "because it wasn't that important" to her.

The revelation appears to connect to claims made in 2019 by Nick Endacott-Gibb, who was adopted as a baby and spent years searching for his biological parents.

Nick discovered his mother was Patti Nolder, who worked as a studio manager for the Bee Gees and had a close relationship with the band.

After initially believing his father was Chris Andrews from the 1960s group Fleur de Lys, a DNA test in 2009 ruled that out.

When Patti's sister informed him that Gibb was actually his biological father, Nick pursued the truth through facial recognition tests, one of which returned a 95.2 percent match.

Maurice's widow Yvonne declined his requests for DNA testing despite repeated appeals over several years.

Nick ultimately obtained confirmation through an online genealogy service when he discovered Adam Gibb had previously submitted his own DNA to Ancestry.co.uk, providing a "100 percent match".

Despite some family members publicly questioning the validity of his DNA results, Nick maintained his position in 2019, stating: "For some reason some members of the family still want to publicly cast doubt on the validity of my DNA result from two years ago, rather than listening to the music I'm creating which surely speaks for itself."

Mr Gibb, who passed away in 2003 following a cardiac arrest at his Miami residence, had two acknowledged children with his second wife Yvonne Spenceley: daughter Samantha and son Adam.

Lulu's marriage to Maurice ended in 1973 after four years together, with the couple having no children.
