The WWE star has distanced himself from his younger brother's comments regarding boycotting the performance

Logan Paul has publicly taken aim at his younger brother Jake Paul after the boxer urged viewers to switch off their televisions during Bad Bunny's Super Bowl LX halftime performance on Sunday.

Jake took to social media with his plea, in which he branded the Puerto Rican musician a "fake American citizen" in a scathing social media tirade.

The influencer and professional boxer posted on X approximately two hours before kick-off at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

"Purposefully turning off the halftime show," Jake wrote. "Let's rally together and show big corporations they can't just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them).

Logan has now distanced himself from his brother's position, taking to X to explain that he was far from in agreement with his sibling despite their close bond.

"I love my brother but I don't agree with this," Logan wrote. "Puerto Ricans are Americans & I'm happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island."

Logan's comments were markedly different from the attitude he had towards Bad Bunny prior to Sunday's half-time show.

When asked upon arrival at the stadium whether he was looking forward to the halftime performance, Logan had earlier responded with a blunt "No" before moving on.

Jake's comments landed him in hot water with several social media users, many of whom accused him of hypocrisy considering his current living arrangements.

The brothers relocated to Puerto Rico in 2021, settling in the coastal town of Dorado primarily to take advantage of the island's favourable tax regime.

Logan has since acquired a $32.5 million property, whilst Jake owns a £11 million mansion in the same territory where Bad Bunny was born.

"The tax incentive program here is great—one of the best in the world," Logan previously told Graham Bensinger in an interview, describing the financial benefits as "an incredible cherry on top."

Logan had previously taken aim at Bad Bunny in 2022, appearing on the Philip DeFranco Show following the release of the rapper's documentary highlighting gentrification concerns.

"I do find it hypocritical because Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican, living in Puerto Rico, who is privately taking advantage of the same tax program that he is publicly condemning," Logan said at the time.

In more recent news, Bad Bunny sparked controversy at the Grammy Awards last week when he used his acceptance speech for Best Música Urbana Album to criticise immigration enforcement.

"Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say Ice out," the artist declared. "We're not savages, we're not animals, we're not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans."

He added: "The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that's more powerful than hate is love."

Jake, on the other hand, has used his platform to publicly support Ice agents amid ongoing calls for their disbandment from critics in the USA.

Bad Bunny may have bigger fish to fry when it comes to feedback on his Super Bowl LX performance.

President Trump took to Truth Social to describe the performance as "terrible" and an "affront" to the United States.
