The actress captioned her video with an emphatic plea: "The truth.....FROM ME!!! Stop stop stop stop believing all the lies on here PLEASE...FAKE NEWS is getting out of hand!!!!"
Ms Riley concluded her message by raising her middle finger in a gesture aimed squarely at those responsible for spreading the misinformation.
The false reports proved especially cruel given their timing. Just days earlier, Ms Riley had appeared on Loose Women alongside Kaye Adams, Oti Mabuse and Janet Street Porter, where she spoke openly about her heartbreaking fertility journey.
During the programme, the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star revealed that she and her partner Al, whom she has been with since 2014, had been unable to conceive naturally and turned to IVF treatment.

| ITV/GETTYMs Riley said in her Instagram video: "I have been inundated with congratulations today. And do you know what makes that even more sick? The fact that only this week on Loose Women I was talking about the fact that me and Al, my other half, we couldn't get pregnant."
The actress had shared during the panel discussion she would have given anything to become a mother.
Ms Riley explained during the Loose Women appearance her Catholic upbringing had influenced her early attitudes towards contraception and relationships, before she later prioritised her career.
When she eventually found the right partner and decided the time was right to start a family, she discovered she was unable to fall pregnant naturally.

The couple embarked on IVF treatment, but the process took a significant toll on the actress.
Ms Riley shared: "I wasn't that lucky, I tried everything until the point where Al turned to me and he literally said, 'You have to stop all the IVF treatment because it's diminishing you, it's taking your personality away, you're trying too hard."
She added with evident sadness: "Sometimes in life, it's not meant to be."
Despite not becoming a mother, Ms Riley noted she remains part of a loving family unit, with her nephew and niece playing an important role in her life.
In her video message, Ms Riley offered practical advice to her followers about navigating the growing problem of online misinformation.
"I think if I was pregnant I might have told people. Just food for thought, when you read something, go to the person's social media, have a look if they've said anything. If they haven't, it's probably fake news," she urged.
The actress directed particular criticism at the role of artificial intelligence in generating false stories, condemning "clickbait and AI and all this nonsense this world is becoming".
The Strictly Come Dancing star is not the first television personality to be targeted by such fabrications.

One fan wrote: "So sorry they've done this to you. How horrible given that yours and Al IVF didn't work that's mean and disgusting on their part hope your ok."
Another commented: "What is wrong with people. Why lie? Such a vile and hateful thing to do! Well done for calling them out."
Others sent messages of solidarity, with one follower noting: "It honestly baffles me why people write stuff like this especially on a subject like this."
Several fans observed that those spreading such rumours clearly had "nothing else better to do."
