Woodburn branded the ITV presenter a 'child in a playground'

Lorraine Kelly is facing scrutiny over her comments regarding Nigel Farage’s body.

Speaking on GB News, Kim Woodburn branded the ITV presenter a “child in a playground” after she mocked images of the GB News presenter showering in the I’m a Celebrity jungle.

The former How Clean Is Your House? presenter said the comments “weren’t fair” on Farage.

“She’s a stupid woman. Let’s face it. She’s like a child in the playground”, she said.

Speaking about this year’s series of I’m a Celeb, Kelly opted not to focus on Farage’s travails in the jungle, instead bringing up the GB News star’s appearance.

During Tuesday’s episode of her self-titled talk show, Kelly made clear her “shock” at Farage’s age of 59, stating she felt he was “a hell of a lot older”.

“That’s astonishing. That just shows you get the face you deserve! You really do”, she said.

TV presenter Jeni Barnett argued on GB News that Farage has put himself in a position that invites ridicule.

“If you’re going to go on I’m a Celeb, you’re putting yourself in the stocks for people to throw tomatoes at you”, she said.

“Nigel Farage has done a great deal of damage and if anybody can have a go at him, they will.

“Lorraine Kelly hasn’t got a nasty bone in her body and to shift his bottom into body shaming is nonsense.”

The comments were made during a tense row on GB News in which presenter Patrick Christys had to intervene as a result of growing “sick” of the continual commentary.

Woodburn argued that putting people on a television show does not put them in a position to be scrutinised for their bodies.

“Lorraine Kelly was rude and nasty”, she added in a fiery remark.
