The Clarkson's Farm duo have been together since 2017

Jeremy Clarkson couldn't resist issuing a public jibe at his girlfriend Lisa Hogan on social media when she revealed how she's unwinding this festive period.

Hogan has often starred alongside Clarkson in the hit Amazon series Clarkson's Farm where she'd throw herself into the thick of the action to ensure her other half's Chipping Norton farm remains afloat.

However, Hogan has provided her Instagram followers a peek at a luxurious break she's taking away from the farm - without Clarkson.

On the social media platform, Hogan shared a sped-up clip of her leaving a stunning indoor pool at Bamford's The Club before dipping into a hot-tub and then making her way to the outdoor pool.

In the accompanying caption, Hogan hinted a break was well-deserved as she penned: "Xmas gifts in the bag," followed by a series of festive emojis.

It didn't take long for several of Hogan's followers to comment on the stunning retreat - including Clarkson.

However, while others were complimentary of the location, it's safe to say the Grand Tour star had bigger things on his mind.

Sarcastically commenting on his girlfriend's post, the 63-year-old penned: "Meanwhile, on the farm and at the shop, much hard work being done."

The Diddly Squat Farm's official account decided to wade into the jokey spat as it remarked Clarkson's "hard work" would also take place at "the pub".

Clarkson may be keeping busy at Diddly Squat but it's not been without its fair share of hiccups of late.

Earlier this month, Clarkson revealed he'd been collared by the local council once again over his plans to plant more trees on the farm.

Clarkson said he was sent a missive ordering him to put a halt to any further planting.

Spats with the local council aren't exactly a rarity for the former Top Gear star as he documented in the first two seasons of Clarkson's Farm.

However, he did manage to get his car park in the end, with Hogan showing off the new area in a social media update earlier this year.
