Jeremy Clarkson has been forced to halt production on the sixth series of his hit Amazon Prime show, blaming relentless rainfall that has battered the country since January.
The former Top Gear presenter revealed the setback in his weekly Sunday Times column, where he described a rare spell of inactivity despite his typically packed schedule.
"On the face of it, I'm a busy man. I have a television show to make about the farm I run," Mr Clarkson wrote.
"I have a brewery, a shop and a pub, and I host Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and its new spin-off series, and I write three newspaper columns every week."

Mr Clarkson explained that work at Diddly Squat Farm has ground to a halt, with neither cameras rolling nor agricultural activity taking place.
"There's no filming happening on the farm at the moment," he said.
"Or farming. It hasn't stopped raining since the beginning of the year, so I can't plant anything, and I can't do anything with my cows either because we are still locked down by TB."

However, Mr Clarkson’s partner, Lisa Hogan, has given viewers something more uplifting to focus on, sharing news of new arrivals expected at the Cotswolds farm.
Posting on Instagram, Ms Hogan shared footage of the farm’s sheep flock and revealed they are pregnant.

The pregnant ewes and their eventual offspring are expected to feature in series six once filming resumes, offering fresh storylines for viewers who have followed the Diddly Squat journey since its debut.
Furthermore, on Pancake Tuesday, the presenter shared an adorable video of pigs on the farm eating a meal, captioned: "Pancake Tuesday, piggy style."
Fans of the show were quick to share their delight.
"Look at him!" one delighted fan commented, as another said: "I’m in love."
"Awww? Such a handsome boi" (sic), penned a third fan.
A fourth wrote: "We are just rewatching series 4 with cutie Richard ham, waiting patiently for season 5 lol." (sic).
Those eager for more content will not have long to wait, with series five expected to land on Prime in May.
