The TV presenter-turned-farmer isn't happy with the decision-makers at the streaming giant

Jeremy Clarkson, 65, has publicly taken aim at streaming giants Amazon following the release of the first four episodes of Clarkson's Farm season four.

The hit series returned on Friday, May 23, as fans got the chance to see what hijinks have unravelled at Diddly Squat farm over the past year.

And there have been plenty of talking points from the first four instalments, not least the introduction of farmhand Harriet Cowan.

The 24-year-old joined Clarkson and land agent Charlie Ireland at the former's Chipping Norton farm after series stalwart Kaleb Cooper decided to head on a nationwide stage tour.

Other highlights from the series so far include Clarkson's venture to buy his own pub, his ongoing trials and tribulations as a pig farmer, and the rather urgent task of buying a new tractor.

With so much packed into the first half of the new season, it was always inevitable that Clarkson's Farm fans would eagerly want to see how the rest of the season panned out.

However, they've been left on tenterhooks as Amazon has decided not to release every episode all at once like typical streaming models.

Instead, episodes five and six of the current series will arrive on Friday, May 30, and the penultimate instalment and finale don't arrive on Amazon until Friday, June 6.

The decision is one that hasn't exactly been welcomed by Clarkson's Farm fans. And it turns out Clarkson himself also isn't best pleased.

Taking to social media, Clarkson publicly disagreed with the streaming giant's decision when replying to disgruntled viewers.

"Can't watch it. Not yet, need a few episodes to binge it," one Clarkson's Farm fan said about the new season, prompting Clarkson to agree: "I’m the same."

Meanwhile, another irked fan asked Clarkson directly" "Please, kick Amazon in the plums for releasing the episodes like old-school TV in a weekly-manner."

"I tried. I really tried," Clarkson replied to the X user before adding: "I feel your pain."

A third fan heaped praise on Clarkson: "Just caught the 1st two episodes of S4 - Jeremy is a growing force for British Farming forces. Blessings for success! Goooo Jezza!"

Clarkson replied: "They’re not the last 2. The next four are released over the next couple of weeks. Infuriating if you’re impatient like me."

"Right @JeremyClarkson what is with this splitting episodes into bundles a need to see it all NOW," a fourth furious fan typed which again earned a response from Clarkson: "I know. Drives me mad."

And Clarkson's complaints didn't stop there as he also replied to a fifth who said they were "p***ed off" they couldn't watch all eight episodes of the series.

"We can flipping see that they're all there! Let us watch them.. Why is it done like this? @JeremyClarkson," they pondered, to which Clarkson answered: "I also find it annoying when they do that."

While Amazon and other streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Paramount+ tend to release content all at once, it's not unheard of for platforms to stagger the releases of their best-performing shows.

Amazon adopted a similar schedule for the third season of Clarkson's Farm, releasing the first batch of episodes a week before the second half back in May 2024.
