James Bond fans have been patiently waiting since 2021 for a new fix of the classic secret agent franchise.
The latest film, No Time to Die, hit cinemas three years ago and marked the last of Daniel Craig’s Bond.
Producer Barbara Broccoli has finally given a slight update, but unfortunately it isn’t good news for those looking forward to another 007 movie.
Speaking a prestigious film event this week during which Prime Minister Rushi Sunak joked about becoming the next Bond, the 63-year-old refused to give up any details.
“No,” she stated, according to Deadline. “There’s nothing I can tell you about the next Bond film. There’s nothing. Nothing is happening yet.”
The update hasn’t impressed fans who have been waiting since Craig announced his stepping down as Bond a few years ago for any news on the upcoming films.

Taking to social media many complained about the long wait they’ve had to endure for any kind of update on the films, which have been made since the 1962.
One wrote: “And the long wait continues for us,” while another added: “I want new movie that's it.”
“And we patiently wait,” a third complained. Another fan fumed: “We NEED a new one.”
“Don't these people need to make money? Why not have a Bond film out every 2 years? Have a closet of scripts ready to roll,” someone else suggested.

Another social media user shared: “I’m getting fed up waiting on an announcement about a new James Bond.
“Being a massive fan I’m afraid I won’t be one much longer . I think there won’t be another one as he was killed off.” (sic)
However, others placed more importance on the franchise ensuring they find the right Bond.
“Better to take your time and cast the person instead of the easy wrong one,” one pointed out.

While nobody has been confirmed as the next Bond, several famous names are doing the rounds in the rumour mill.
Aaron Taylor Johnson, Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba and Rege-Jean Page are among the stars speculated to be replacing Craig.
With everything remaining quiet on the official Bond front though, fans will likely have to wait quite a bit longer for any confirmation.
