The former footballer is understood to be boycotting the live final

I'm A Celebrity South Africa is facing further chaos, with former footballer Jimmy Bullard potentially set to lose a portion of his show fee if he boycotts the live final this week.

It follows a heated row he had with co-star Adam Thomas, which is set to air on Wednesday's evening's show.

It is understood Mr Thomas and Mr Bullard butted heads in an explosive disagreement during filming for the ITV show, which took place last year.

The two had a major clash over a Bushtucker Trial during Tuesday's instalment, and Mr Bullard is now expected to skip the live final as a result.

The pair are still not on speaking terms, with an insider telling the publication: "It's a very sad turn of events.

"Both men acted in a way they’re not proud of. It's so bad, in fact, that Jimmy says there's no way he’ll be turning up on Friday, which means he won’t be paid his full show fee.

"Jimmy snubbed going to the All Stars press launch last month so everyone knows he's serious.

"It doesn't look good for him going forward with other TV commitments because he'll be seen as a bit of a risk and unreliable."

The source continued: "However, he's been adamant for months that there's no going back with Adam and he is prepared to face the consequences.

"It's a shame both Adam and Jimmy have not been able to find a resolution and move past it. Fans will be gutted."

During the latest episode, Waterloo Road star Mr Thomas yells at the football pundit, asking: "Are you taking the p***?"

He goes on to tell Mr Bullard: "I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants!"

Mr Bullard responded by telling the actor to calm down, before Mr Thomas walked away.

The row ultimately led to Mr Bullard quitting the show on Tuesday evening's episode.

The footballer isn't the first campmate Mr Thomas has clashed with, as former boxer David Haye has been accused of "bullying" him.

Following heavy public criticism online towards My Haye after scenes branded "hard to watch" had aired, Mr Thomas issued a statement addressing how the boxer had "broken" him.

The 37-year-old shared an emotional statement on Instagram on Sunday evening alongside a photograph from the show.

"Not going to lie, this picture breaks my heart, as I know on the inside what I was dealing with and truth be told I thought it was all my fault," Mr Thomas wrote.

He described his stint on the all-stars edition as "one of the toughest things I've ever been through, physically, mentally, and emotionally."

The actor added that revisiting the footage, recorded late last year, has proven particularly challenging.

Mr Thomas has been open about living with arthritis, an autoimmune condition that causes his immune system to attack his own body, resulting in significant pain.

During his time in the South African camp, the condition took a severe toll on him physically.

"My biggest fight was pretending to put on a brave face and trying to hide the pain! That can be exhausting within itself," he explained.

The confrontation came during Friday's episode when Mr Thomas was lying in bed feeling unwell as Mr Haye put the actor forward for the Termite Terror challenge.

The boxer refused to accept this, declaring: "Dehydrated?! We've all got the same amount of water! Adam is doing it and that's it!"

GB News has approached ITV for a comment on the reports.
