The 71-year-old is only going to be on the reality show for five days

Sharon Osbourne delighted her fans when she arrived at the Celebrity Big Brother house on Monday.

The 71-year-old, who is living in her own quarters separate from the other housemates on the reality show, will only be on the programme for five days and has opened up on the reason why.

Osbourne, who is earning an eye-watering £100,000 per day for her stint on the show, has explained her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s health is the reason for her shorter stay in the house.

The former Black Sabbath lead vocalist was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 and his wife doesn’t want to be away from him for a long period.

“I don't want to stay away from Ozzy for too long. We're so close as a family,” she reflected.

The former X Factor judge continued: “I don't think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever.

“Through fights, feuds, everything. We still talk and this will definitely be the longest.” Speaking to The Sun, she went on to admit: “I don't know how I'm going to cope.”

Last September, rocker Osbourne revealed his condition had been “five years of absolute hell for me and my family”.

Chatting to Piers Morgan on TalkTV, he added: “The family has been so supportive of me.

“I couldn’t have done it without them. It’s been a really bad scene. I have Parkinson’s, but I never think about it.”

Meanwhile, Osbourne isn’t with completely unfamiliar faces in the iconic Big Brother house, with fellow X Factor original Louis Walsh also taking part in the current series.

The 71-year-old had viewers in hysterics as he made his debut on the show when he seemed to “expose” ITV by making clear he was aware Osbourne would be on the show with him, despite the line-up being “secret”.

Walsh was brought in as the first housemate, but accidentally let slip he knew that Osbourne was going in.

Speaking to hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu, he admitted he was “excited to be reunited with Mrs O,” despite the line-up not being revealed until the show.

It didn't take long for fans to notice the slip-up and they took to social media to point it out.

The series has got people talking in other areas too, with Kate Middleton's uncle, Gary Goldsmith, also among the housemates on the revived series.

Former Big Brother star Jordan Sangha has admitted he thinks the Princess of Wales' relative is "up to no good".
