Adam Woodward has delighted fans with the news that he is set to become a father for the first time.
The 33-year-old actor, best known for portraying Brody Hudson in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, shared the joyful announcement with followers on Instagram on Sunday.
Mr Woodward posted a black-and-white ultrasound image to reveal his partner's pregnancy, confirming their baby is due in August 2026.
"It's official, baby Woodward coming August 2026," he wrote across the photograph

The soap star, who tends to keep his personal life out of the spotlight, also included a babygrow and a pair of knitted booties tied with ribbons in the image.
A second photograph showed the actor in silhouette as he knelt down to kiss his partner's growing baby bump.
He captioned the post: "Incoming bada*s."
The announcement quickly drew attention online, with the post receiving more than 3,000 likes from fans and well-wishers.

Mr Woodward has not revealed the identity of his partner.
He previously dated former Hollyoaks co-star Sophie Porley, who played Ellie Nightingale, before the pair split in 2020 after two years together.
Former colleagues from the Liverpool-based soap were quick to offer their congratulations in the comments section.

His performance earned him the Best Male Dramatic Performance prize at the British Soap Awards in 2019.
The character met a dramatic end in 2021 when Brody was killed in a hit-and-run orchestrated by Warren Fox.
