Fans weren't sure if the presenter would be reprising her usual role on the show this year

Holly Willoughby’s Dancing On Ice return earlier this year wasn't guaranteed due to her This Morning exit in late 2023.

However, the 43-year-old presenter was back to host the reality series in January until it ended at the weekend, and now it’s been reported she’s been offered a significant deal by the channel to host next year’s show.

Willoughby left the ITV magazine show shortly after her long-term co-host Phillip Schofield, who was involved in a scandal after admitting to having had an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague.

Schofield, who also presented Dancing on Ice with Willoughby, pulled out of his ITV roles and hasn’t made any public appearances since his candid interview with the BBC following the revelations.

There was speculation Willoughby might also refrain from coming back for the annual ice-skating competition, but she opted to carry on with her role with new co-host, Stephen Mulhern.

The programme came to an end over the weekend and there’s apparently already talk about next year’s show.

The reports come amid rumours the BBC has its eye on the presenter continue to do the rounds.

A source commented: “Dancing On Ice is definitely coming back in 2025 and the plan is that Holly will host it.

“Contracts are being negotiated but the chiefs love her and they know that there are others who would love to sign her up but ITV love her and they want to keep her very much part of the ITV furniture for years to come.”

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, the source continued: “Holly has a real fondness for the show, it really catapulted her career from a children’s presenter into grown up television so ITV very much hope that she will agree to the deal.”

The publication also stated ITV is looking at other shows for Willoughby to make her own after the well-known host left This Morning after 14 years.

Taking to Instagram in October, Willoughby told fans she wouldn’t be returning to the magazine show.

"I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning," she penned.

She went on: “It's been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go.

“Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much."

Willoughby waved goodbye to this series’ Dancing on Ice on Sunday and for the first time in years, she has no current ITV obligations.

It has also been speculated other broadcasters are hoping to tempt the presenter away from ITV.
