Gordon Ramsay boasts Adam Peaty 'calls me dad' amid son-in-law's family feud: 'It's incredible'

Gordon Ramsay has disclosed that Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty now addresses him as "dad" following the athlete's marriage to his eldest daughter Holly in December.
Speaking on Gaby Roslin's Reasons To Be Joyful podcast, the 59-year-old television chef shared details of their close bond.
"He calls me dad. He messaged me and said 'Hey dad, what have you got? Hey dad, are you around later?'" Mr Ramsay revealed.
The Hell's Kitchen star expressed his delight at the relationship, saying: "And it's just like, 'Oh my God'. Incredible. And what a lovely couple. They are a dream for Tana and I."

The couple exchanged vows at the Grade II listed Bath Abbey on December 27, though the ceremony was marred by a bitter family dispute.
Mr Peaty's parents, Caroline and Mark, were notably absent from the lavish celebration after the swimmer uninvited them amid an ongoing estrangement.
His mother Caroline had previously accused the Ramsay family of pulling her son "away from her" when rumours of the rift first emerged in November.

Meanwhile, the entire Ramsay clan gathered for what was described as a star-studded, no-expense-spared affair at the historic venue.
Mr Ramsay became visibly emotional when recounting the wedding day on the podcast, describing the car journey to the abbey with his daughter.
"She's holding my hand, she's squeezing it, and said 'Dad, it's time'. And I... 'Oh no'," he recalled.

"And then I walked into the bloody church and there's Adam absolutely bawling like he's just got out of the swimming pool," Ramsay said.
He reflected that rather than bidding farewell to his daughter, the occasion felt like welcoming a new family member.
"I sort of got a new son as well, as opposed to saying goodbye to Holly. An amazing day," he added.

"I was told we were accused of saying inappropriate things [at the reception]. Nothing at all was said that was inappropriate, I promise you. I was very warm, very witty. I talked about when they first met," he told the Daily Mail.
However, Peaty's mother Caroline has claimed she was edited out of footage from the couple's engagement party in the documentary.
Her niece Krystal posted on social media that family members appeared "blurred out" in the Netflix production, prompting Caroline to respond: "I bet they didn't [film my speech] because it was 100% full of love and positivity."
