Eamonn Holmes has shared a happy update with fans as the broadcaster continues to recover after suffering a stroke last week.
The GB News Breakfast presenter had been due to return to the programme on Monday, but the People's Channel confirmed on Saturday that the 66-year-old had been hospitalised following the medical emergency.
A statement from the channel said: "Eamonn was taken ill last week and it was later confirmed he had suffered a stroke. He is currently responding well to treatment.
"Eamonn has asked for privacy as he focuses on getting better.

Colleagues and fans of Eamonn have flooded social media with supportive messages, with Dawn Neeson issuing a touching statement on her show.
On Sunday, Eamonn delighted fans by posting a sweet photo alongside an upbeat message to his Instagram.
The snap was of two of his granddaughters, who held up written "get well" messages and pictures for their grandfather.
One appeared to innocently read "get well soom," which Eamonn joked about in his characteristically positive update.
He captioned the adorable post: "As my beautiful Granddaughters put it so well - I will do my best to get well SOOM.
"Thank you for all of your many many good wishes, they give me strength."
Social media followers were quick to respond in the comments to the heartwarming post, with one writing: "Eamonn... The little things like this mean the most in life .. get your self well soom as the gorgeous girls say."

Speaking on yesterday's show, Dawn shared a touching message as she stated on air: "I've worked with Eamonn for a long, long time. I've known him for a long time, and Eamonn is not a quitter.
“I always remember that very first day we worked together back in the early 90s, and I was terrified.
"You were terrified. It's your first day on the breakfast TV show… But thank you. You put me at ease. Straight away."
The host continued that Eamonn was “recovering well”.
“Everyone here at GB News is sending the very, very best to our breakfast show host Eamonn Holmes,” she added.
