Eamonn Holmes has revealed he's been rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after a nasty fall at his home.

The 65-year-old presenter was met with a wave of supportive comments after sharing the incident on his social media.

Alongside a photo of the inside of an ambulance in which only the People's Channel presenter's feet are visible, he wrote on Instagram: "An unexpected journey this morning...

"Bit of a fall on the bathroom floor. Gosh it hurts. Thank you Ambulance crew."

Eamonn has bravely opened up about his struggles with several medical issues over the last few years and has been candid when sharing updates with viewers and fans.

He faced a particularly agonising ordeal in 2022 when the presenter underwent surgery for a slipped disk.

Ever since, he has been using the aid of a wheelchair to get around. Eamonn also had a double-hip replacement in 2016.

While interviewing Olympian Montell Douglas earlier this year on GB News Breakfast, Eamonn candidly opened up on his inability to do certain things.

"I'm in a position where I can’t do a lot of things," he explained, joking: "I regard watching Countryfile on a Sunday as huge exercise for me."

Douglas told Eamonn she feels "very sad" about his admission, to which he responded: "It’s true."

Despite his health woes, Eamonn has kept a stoic attitude, taking to social media to share his bright outlook on life.

Just recently, he was applauded by his Instagram followers when he emphasised how "determined" he felt to keep living life to the fullest.

Sharing a selfie from his car snapped on a sunny day, he penned to his 783k followers: "Even when the sun shines there’s pain.

"Sometimes I feel I’ll never beat this disc immobility but I’m determined to have a life…So pray for me."

He went on to quip: "Help me or get out of the way Social Media haters," he concluded, followed by a tongue-out emoji. (sic)
