Speculation about tensions between Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi and their former Cotswolds neighbour Jeremy Clarkson has emerged once again following a notable omission in the latest series of Clarkson's Farm.

The fifth series of the Amazon Prime hit, which premiered this week, centres on the television presenter running his pub, The Farmer's Dog, alongside his farm.

During the second episode, Mr Clarkson announces: "Some very special guests are inbound. I'd always been keen for the pub to host live music evenings.

“Lisa, having trawled through her Irish address book, had managed to book The Corrs."

Yet whilst cameras sweep across the venue, capturing enthusiastic crowds enjoying the Irish band's performance, any trace of the American couple has been completely removed from the broadcast footage.

A Lisa Hogan Instagram post from November 2024 showed the Hollywood pair dancing on the first-floor balcony during The Corrs performance.

It quickly went viral, inadvertently confirming their secret relocation from Montecito, California, to a farmhouse situated just a mile from the pub.

The couple had reportedly left America in protest at Donald Trump's return to the White House.

"The interest around them was frenzied," an insider revealed. "The moment it was realised they had moved in near the Farmer's Dog, paparazzi photographers were swarming everywhere for weeks on end."

"This didn't enamour Ellen and Portia with the area and was in some part why they eventually moved away."

The footage was subsequently deleted from Ms Hogan's social media account, with the couple opting instead for quieter evenings at The Three Horseshoes nearby.

Mr Clarkson has denied any falling out with the couple, though further reports emerged suggesting workers filling Ms DeGeneres’ 56ft swimming pool may have inadvertently caused problems during the pub's opening.

Since those early difficulties, Ms DeGeneres and Ms de Rossi appear to have distanced themselves from the area entirely, departing their £20million Kitesbridge Farm and purchasing another property of equivalent value approximately 30 minutes north near Chipping Norton.

Their new local watering hole is now the Falkland Arms in Great Tew, the exclusive village where the Beckhams reside and which neighbours the celebrity favourite Soho Farmhouse.

The Clarkson situation represented merely one element of a troubled 18 months for the couple in the Cotswolds.

Their original property, Kitesbridge Farm, which remains unsold, suffered repeated flooding when the River Windrush burst its banks during the autumns of 2024 and 2025, with reports indicating the floodwaters contained sewage effluent.

On just his second day of trading, The Farmer's Dog’s water supply ran dry whilst maintenance staff were reportedly pumping vast quantities of water into the pool at the couple's nearby property in preparation for their arrival.

Disputes with local planning authorities and allegations that they gazumped another buyer added to their woes.

Their new hilltop residence, a single-storey minimalist property with five en-suite bedrooms, sits safely above any flood risk according to planning documents.

However, the house was constructed on the site of an old farmhouse that witnessed a gruesome murder and stood abandoned for years before demolition.

A planned series of Ms DeGeneres’ UK speaking engagements scheduled for late last year were quietly cancelled.
