Showbiz journalist Stephanie Takyi explained on GB News: "There's been a lot of controversy around Brooklyn Beckham at the moment because he didn't turn up for his father's 50th birthday."

She added: "I don't think it would have looked right for him to attend last night."

The situation has apparently created a significant rift in the typically close-knit family.

Takyi elaborated on the situation, saying: "Rumour has it that Romeo's new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, Brooklyn went out with a few years ago."

"I think that's a bit of a sore point for the Beckham family," she continued.

After Eamonn described the situation as "weird", Takyi remarked: "It was many moons ago, but I'm sorry, there's so many women who would be interested in the Beckham brothers."

"I don't know why he would have to go out with his brother's ex. It's a sore point."

"I think they've separated themselves from the family - it's a shame."

GB News host Bev Turner offered her perspective on the family divide, saying: "I'm interested in that Beckham story. I have to say, there's obviously been such an awful split with the eldest, with Brooklyn."

"It's sad because the Beckhams usually have this united front as a family, and it just seems like women are getting the blame for tearing apart brothers again," she added.

However, Cruz Beckham has reportedly attempted to clarify the situation, commenting on social media: "Brooklyn and Kim never dated."

Bev also commented on Brooklyn's personal journey, saying: "Brooklyn Beckham, for me, never really found out who he was. He was the classic lost babu."

According to TMZ, the feud emerged after Brooklyn questioned Kim's intentions and "motives" toward his brother.

Sources claim Brooklyn has told his family he will not attend any events where Kim is present.
