Bomb disposal specialists have been dispatched to Perth City Police Station in Scotland after someone delivered a suspected ordnance device to the premises this morning.
The incident unfolded at roughly 9.35am when the unidentified item was brought into the station located on Barrack Street.
Police immediately implemented safety measures, resulting in the temporary closure of the surrounding road.
Authorities are yet to establish the precise nature of the object, with experts still needed to verify whether it poses any threat.
The discovery prompted a swift response from emergency services in the Scottish city, The National reports.
Officers have since relocated the suspected device to an area outside the police station building.

Barrack Street has now been reopened to traffic and pedestrians following the brief closure earlier this morning.
The Explosives Ordnance Disposal team remains en route to the location to conduct a thorough examination of the item.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed: "Around 9.35am on Sunday, May, 17, a possible ordnance device was handed in to the police station at Barrack Street, Perth."
The spokesman added: "The device has been taken outside. Barrack Street was closed for a short time but has now re-opened. The Explosives Ordnance Disposal are enroute."
