Loose Women presenter Denise Welch publicly confronted Brent Council on social media yesterday after claiming her son's rubbish had gone uncollected for three weeks and that a refuse worker hurled a vulgar insult at him.
The 67-year-old television personality took to X on Monday to air her frustration, alleging that when her son attempted to address the situation with a bin collector, he was called a "c***".
"Hi @brent_council. You haven't emptied my son's bins in 3 weeks. Any attempts at due process has failed," the former Coronation Street actress wrote.
"He tried to talk to a collector who called him a c***!! Can you let me know how we move forward!!!!"

| PAThe ITV panellist stated that previous efforts to resolve the matter through proper channels had been unsuccessful.
The north-west London authority swiftly responded to Ms Welch's complaint via their official X account, expressing regret over the alleged incident.
"Hi Denise, we are very sorry to hear about your son's experience. If you could DM us the address, we will look into this as a matter of urgency," the council replied.
Within hours of her initial outburst, Ms Welch removed the original post from her account. She subsequently shared an update with her more than 535,000 followers at 3.34pm on Monday.

"So @Brent_Council has responded thank you. And I appreciate all of your comments which have made me laugh," she wrote.
A Brent Council spokesperson told Metro: "We're concerned to hear about these allegations and are looking into them with our contractor Veolia."
Ms Welch shares two children with her former husband, actor Tim Healy, to whom she was married from 1988 to 2012.
Their eldest, Matty Healy, 36, fronts the band The 1975 and became engaged to model Gabbriette Bechtel last June.

Their younger son, Louis, 25, is currently starring as Henry Creel in the West End production of Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
The television star did not specify which of her sons was involved in the alleged altercation, which led to a number of memes and theories online.
"I won't sleep until I see Matty's empty wheelie bin Denise," one X user quipped.
Another commented: "Now that's confirmed could you confirm which son please as it's causing major upset in your comments not knowing."

| PAThe actress has previously acknowledged her tendency to be overly involved in her adult children's affairs, describing herself as a "helicopter parent" who monitors their lives with constant vigilance.
Writing in her column for The i Paper last March, Ms Welch admitted: "The radar is on full alert at all times and I insert myself into any aspect of their lives I can squeeze into.
"Totally uninvited, I swoop in with military precision to offer advice and solutions to problems they don't have."
She revealed that her sons have nicknamed her a "Poundland Kris Jenner" due to her persistent involvement in their personal matters.
The presenter also confessed to needing daily contact with both Matty and Louis, adding that she immediately fears they are in "serious danger" if they fail to respond promptly to her messages.
