Football legend David Beckham suffered an embarrassing grooming mishap at home when his attempt at a DIY buzz cut went spectacularly wrong, leaving him with a prominent bald patch on his scalp.
The 50-year-old former England captain was attempting to trim his hair with clippers on Saturday when the incident occurred, resulting in an uneven cut that exposed a triangle-shaped bare spot on the top of his head.
His wife Victoria, 51, captured the aftermath on video and shared it with her 33 million Instagram followers, unable to contain her laughter as she filmed her sheepish husband trying to conceal the damage with his hand.
In the video, Beckham explained that "the thing of the clippers fell off my head," later clarifying he meant "the clipper head" had detached during use.

Victoria repeatedly asked "what have you done?" whilst the shirtless former Manchester United midfielder attempted to hide the mishap from view.
When she finally got a proper look at the damage, the fashion designer delivered her verdict with characteristic directness.
"It does not look good," she told her husband. "I'm going to always be honest with you - it looks terrible."
Despite Sir David's protests that the situation was "not funny," Victoria continued filming, clearly amused by the grooming catastrophe that had befallen her husband of 26 years.

The couple's children found endless entertainment in their father's hair disaster, with Victoria noting they had gathered "hours of content" from the incident.
However, given eldest son Brooklyn's ongoing rift with his family, it's likely the Spice Girls star was referring to siblings Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.

In fact, their son Romeo, 22, was quick to respond in the comments section of his mother's Instagram post, writing "bruh" and adding that his father "had a shocker."
Meanwhile, Cruz shared a gif of somebody using an oversized set of clippers to mock his father.
The video, which Victoria captioned "Dad what have you done?!?! @davidbeckham," attracted widespread attention from followers who offered mixed reactions.
Some fans found humour in the situation, with one commenting "I like the victory laugh," whilst others suggested the mishap might inadvertently start a new trend, predicting "half the UK kids will be rocking it next week."
However, despite the thousands of comments and likes, as well as the reference to her children, neither Brooklyn nor his wife Nicola Peltz interacted with the post.
