The middle Beckham child appeared to extend an olive branch to his estranged brother

Cruz Beckham appears to be reaching out to his estranged older brother Brooklyn, with a touching social media post shared on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old singer uploaded a collection of childhood photographs featuring himself alongside Brooklyn, 26, and brother Romeo, 23, the first time he's shared images of his eldest sibling since the family's bitter falling out.

What made the post particularly poignant was Cruz's choice of Billy Joel's The River Of Dreams as the soundtrack accompanying the carousel.

The track's lyrics read: "I've been searching for something, taken out of my soul, Something I'd never lose, Something somebody stole. I hope it doesn't take the rest of my life, Until I find what it is that I've been looking for..."

The Instagram post marks a significant shift, given that Cruz unfollowed Brooklyn last year amid the family's escalating tensions.

It also follows Brooklyn's explosive six-page Instagram statement last month, in which he declared he had no desire to reconcile with his relatives.

In that scathing post, Brooklyn claimed his parents, Sir David, 50, and Lady Victoria Beckham, 51, had been "trying to ruin" his marriage to Nicola Peltz and had controlled him "for most of my life".

He also took aim at his younger brothers, alleging they had been "sent" to attack him on social media before blocking him last summer.

Cruz's post attracted thousands of likes within just a few hours.

Viewers flooded the comments section with both support and criticism of Brooklyn's handling of his family feud.

"How lovely," one delighted fan wrote, while another penned: "The best family!"

"Perfect song!" another wrote, while a fourth fan added: "Hope you're ok Cruz."

However, some joked Cruz should be careful posting such photos of his brother.

"Did you contact his lawyer before his face appears on your Instagram?" one person wrote.

Another joked: "Brooklyn about to sue you too."

The comments come as news broke in September that Brooklyn allegedly instructed his parents that all future communication must be conducted through legal representatives.

A source told The Sun: "The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately, not publicly."

The aspiring chef is understood to have grown frustrated that his parents continued referencing him on social media rather than approaching him directly to repair their fractured relationship.

Brooklyn's statement centred on allegations his mother, Victoria, had "hijacked" his first dance with Nicola at their April 2022 Palm Beach wedding.

According to Brooklyn, singer Marc Anthony, who was performing at the reception, called him to the stage where his romantic dance with his new wife had been scheduled.

Brooklyn wrote: "Instead, my mum was waiting to dance with me instead."

The eldest Beckham son continued: "She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life."

Wedding DJ Fat Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams, confirmed that Mr Anthony had invited "the most beautiful woman in the room" to the stage, referring to Victoria, instead of the bride.

He revealed Brooklyn looked "devastated" while Nicola left the room "crying her eyes out".

Mr Anthony broke his silence on the drama on Monday, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the allegations.

The Latin singer, 57, who is godfather to Cruz and has known the family since before the children were born, described the situation as "extremely unfortunate."

He said: "I have nothing to say about what's happening with the family. They're a wonderful, wonderful family."

However, he pushed back against Brooklyn's version of events, adding: "It's extremely unfortunate how it's playing out but [how it's playing out] is hardly the truth."

Meanwhile, Brooklyn still appears to have his "Brotherhood" tattoo tribute to Cruz and Romeo on his leg, despite having covered up inkings dedicated to his parents.
