Coronation Street stalwart Tina O’Brien was the "victim of an unprovoked incident," according to representatives who have spoken out on her behalf after the well-known actress was allegedly embroiled in a brawl outside her home.
The 40-year-old actress is believed to feature in a video that shows her racing to the street outside her home toward the scene of a fight, but she soon became caught up in the frightening incident herself.
Footage obtained by The Sun shows a woman, believed to be the long-term soap actress, placing herself in the middle of a violent brawl between a group of teenage girls.
She can be seen grabbing one of the youngsters and warning her to “get away from the f***ing house”.
The Sarah Platt star proceeds to hit a girl who attempts to fight her but the teen grabs the actress’ hair and violently pulls before another steps in.
The grainy footage shows the fight escalating as more of the group jump in and the women continue to throw punches.

O’Brien and two others are later seen pushing one girl against a car as the altercation continues.
One source originally told The Sun: “Tina came out to break things up — but ended up joining in. At one point, it ended up three-on-one with Tina and two girls against this other lass.
“She was throwing punches and also took a few blows herself. Watching her on Coronation Street, you wouldn’t think in a million years she’d get involved in something like this, especially in such a public place.”
Responding, the actress broke her silence through her representatives as they said in a statement to Digital Spy: “Tina was the victim of an unprovoked incident outside her home which she has reported to the police."

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police told the publication: "Officers are investigating reports of an assault in Stockport between 8pm and 9pm on 15 March."
The soap star hasn’t personally commented on the incident on social media.
O’Brien first joined the ITV soap back in 1999 when she was 16. She took a hiatus from the programme in 2008 before returning seven years later.
O’Brien used to be in a relationship with her former co-star and Dancing on Ice winner Ryan Thomas, and the two share a daughter.

Tina has starred in the soap since she was 16

She married Adam Crofts on New Year’s Eve 2018 and the couple have a son together.
Neither of her children can be seen in the footage of the incident and it's unknown who took the recording.
As well as her signature role in Coronation Street, the actress has starred in other big programmes such as Waterloo Road, Strictly Come Dancing and Casualty.
