Charlotte Church has shared her true thoughts on last year’s This Morning appearance, which ended up going viral thanks to host Alison Hammond.
The singer joined Ms Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on the ITV magazine show for a segment about sound baths, a form of relaxation which focuses on instruments and other soothing vibrations.
Ms Church, 39, was present in the This Morning studio last November so she could demonstrate the meditative practice to Ms Hammond and Mr O’Leary, who had agreed to take part.
However, just seconds into the process, the Brummie presenter ended up in fits of giggles that she didn’t make much of an effort to conceal.

Addressing the incident, which circulated widely on social media as a funny moment, Ms Church has admitted it “p***ed me off.”
The Welsh star had been singing along soothingly as different sounds played out in the studio, with both presenters lying on the floor to immerse themselves in the relaxing experience.
While Mr O’Leary made an obvious attempt to ignore Ms Hammond’s not-so-subtle laughter, the sound bath was clearly disrupted.
Speaking on Elizabeth Day’s How To Fail podcast this week, Ms Church gave an honest response when asked about the incident.

“Oh, that p***ed me right off,” she admitted before adding: “I’ve met Alison Hammond a number of times and she’s a wonderful woman.
“I think that part of it was a misjudgement on my part to go ‘Let’s do a five-minute sound bath on national TV. That makes loads of sense. Yeah, let’s go for it.’
“I think it was a misjudgement on my part, but I think that what annoyed me more than anything else was that then I’m given the opportunity to display and demonstrate and represent somewhat this amazing art of sound healing or sound ceremony or however people want to describe it, and then it’s made a figure of fun.”
She continued: “That really did actually touch quite a deep wound for me. I was like, ‘Ugh I really like you, Alison, but f*** you.’”

Journalist Ms Day responded: “Yes, because it reminds you of all those other times that you felt you were made fun of,” prompting Ms Chruch to reply: “Yeah, totally.”
Ms Hammond did offer an apology after the experience as she told Ms Church: “I’m so sorry. I feel like I was being rude. What was really throwing me was you singing! It was really making me giggle.”
Ms Church, who is currently taking part in The Celebrity Traitors, also owns a wellbeing centre in Wales.
The Dreaming offers various spiritual retreats, including sound baths.

“One of our pillars is sound and sound healing in all of its forms,” she explained. “Sound affects us on a cellular level, and science is really starting to come to terms with the power of sound.
“It’s about helping people drop into a deep sense of relaxation, and there are so many health benefits around it. In today’s age, it’s very difficult for people to switch off.”
